About

Hi, my name is Camille, and I like pivot tables.

Phew, glad I got that off my chest!

As a senior in high school I had a conundrum on my hands trying to choose a career path.  I knew I was good at math, I’ve always liked numbers, data, and the powers of Excel.  It came easy. However, I thought a career in math would be boring- English was just so fun!  My communication skills, extroverted personality, and passion for writing squashed any chance my left brain had at the time.

Marketing found me at age 19, when I started working for my first agency as a receptionist.  It only took 3 months for our CEO to approach me and offer me a bigger role as an office manager who functioned as an accountant, project manager, and cross-functional coordinator.  My love for all things digital grew exponentially and I gained so much experience in agency life and Internet marketing.

College graduation pulled me into the teaching profession, but marketing found me again teaching English and yearbook classes. It didn’t take long in this career for me to realize I was utilizing my love of technology and project management as a yearbook advisor while developing a product in all things digital, that showed up as print last-minute. Creating something aesthetically pleasing that spoke to the souls of the target demographic was something I looked forward to daily. I also noticed budget management, increasing revenue, and indulging in stats were taking over my passion for literature. The day I picked up the Wall Street Journal over Hemingway I knew it was time, I could no longer derail my inner-math and data loving nerd, and I could not abandon my passion for communication.  And thus a need to study marketing and indulge full use of both sides of my brain came to be.

In 2009 I began my MBA at the W.P. Carey School of Business studying Marketing. I can honestly say aside from finals week, I loved every minute of it! I further knew my calling in life had found me, and as I worked as a social media strategist for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as I realized a passion or interactive marketing. I’ve always loved social media, I’m proud to have had thousands of pins before beta testing ended, and I’ve always been an early adopter.

For the past year I’ve enjoyed agency life again as the Interactive Project Manager for Skyhook Internet Marketing.  In one year I’ve managed the design and build of over 80 websites.  I’ve been an account manager for over 100 clients.  I’ve managed budgets, client relations, schedules, communications, and strategy.  I love the Internet, and I love being a part of the success and community companies find through it.
